Cohort Member
The High School for Media & Communications is located on the George Washington Educational Complex at the tip of Manhattan. The school has an emphasis on media and communication arts, journalism, theater, film, creative writing, visual art, speech, graphic design, Photoshop, STEM, and computer technology as well as film making.

Why did you choose a career in education?
I chose a career in education because I wanted to give students a voice.
What hobbies or other interests have your brought to your classroom?
I have brought music and poetry into my classroom this year. Students have shared their passions for free writing and creating music in my English class.

How do you plan on bringing Making to your students this year?
This year, the robotics team will also participate in the Make-a-thon to reinforce problem solving through STEM and crafting solutions.
