On a cold Saturday in February, families got up come to school to participate in the District 1 Family Make-a-thon at PS 15. Organized by Amy Sacks with the help of MFSC's Lori Stahl-Van Brackle, Joe Melendez, and veteran Make-a-thon organizer Lliana Villegas, families gathered in teams and worked with PS 15 educators to create paper roller coasters and Makey Makey triggers.

District 1's Superintendent Daniela Phillips came to lend a hand as did Bryan Glover and a host of volunteers. Ultimately it was the parents working with their children and the children in the community that made this February event one to remember.
