2016 First Manhattan Make-a-Thon at PS 96

The very first Manhattan Make-a-thon was hosted by PS 96 in December of 2016. Organized by Lliana Villegas, students worked with teachers in teams to create paper roller coasters and Makey Makey triggers. The Design League interns, from MOUSE.org also got in on the action. Even school principal David Pretto was put to work making with his children.

The day-long event culminated with teams testing their paper roller coasters to see if the triggers they created with Makey Makeys would work. Each team had a successful run and the students enjoyed the day.
