Thanks for the memories

THE MNBO Maker Ed Cohort is no longer, but there is a city-wide Maker Ed Cohort. If you are interested in joining us for meet ups, check out our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/NYCSchoolsMakers/.

How to Make a Maker

Ingredients needed:

     1 part ideas

     1 part time

1 part access to tools and the skills to use them

1 part materials and an understanding of what those materials are
       capable of making

You’ll also need space, patience to persevere when your ideas don’t turn out the way you imagined, and flexibility to learn and experiment. Once you’ve mixed that all together you’ll get curiosity, creativity, frustration, laughter, cheers, success, failures, cooperation, collaboration, celebration, and joy. What you’re making, how you’re making it, who is making it, why, where, when… that’s all up to you. However, at the May 19th Manhattan Make-a-thon we made an opportunity to build a community of Makers around the sheer delight of making with our hands and seeing what will happen if…

What will happen if you come to the next Manhattan Make-a-thon? Make some time to find out.
